About us

From a personal story to a national conversation

Thryve Network grew out of our founder's own experience with a mental health condition. Oby Olamma Nnadi saw how little information was available and how much stigma kept people silent, and set out to change that.

Founded as Love and Life International, the organization evolved into Thryve Network and is registered with Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission as a non-profit dedicated to mental health awareness.

We believe good mental health is built where people live, work and learn. Our work spans community outreach, workplace and institutional education, faith communities, schools and the media, and we advocate for a whole-of-government and whole-of-society response to mental health in Nigeria.

Our vision

Better support and treatment for people living with mental health conditions, driven by state and federal action on the areas of mental health that most need reform, including infrastructure and investment.

Our mission

To deepen the community's understanding of mental health and its link to physical well-being, tackle the stigma and myths that stop people from seeking help, and equip people with practical skills to cope with everyday stress.

Our work

Taking mental health education where people are

Since 2020, our team has delivered talks, seminars, workshops and outreach programmes across Lagos and beyond.
